Amouage introduced The Library Collection Opus III in 2010, a unisex composition by Karine Vinchon Spehner. The opening is bright and herbal, combining the soft sweetness of mimosa with the sharp, pungent notes of nutmeg, clove, dyer’s greenweed, and thyme. As the top notes evaporate, the fragrance moves into a delicate floral heart of violet, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and African orange flower, which lends a powdery, creamy quality to the scent. The base is warm and woody, built on benzoin, vanilla, sandalwood, and guaiac wood, supported by musk, ambrette, papyrus, and Virginia cedar. This combination creates a soft, resinous dry down that feels both comforting and structured. The character is gentle yet distinct, fitting for mild weather or transitional seasons, and it performs well in daytime or evening settings where a subtle, floral-woody trail is desired.
