Oud perfumes
Oud is agarwood: Aquilaria wood that, once infected by a mould, forms a dark fragrant resin, distilled into oil or burned as incense. It smells deep and woody, with smoke, leather and a faint sweetness, and is often recreated as an accord. A pillar of Gulf perfumery, it suits evenings, winter and occasions, with a light hand in the heat.
