Lancôme released La Vie Est Belle in 2012 as an Eau de Parfum for women, created by Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion and Olivier Polge. The opening greets the nose with the tartness of black currant followed by the crisp sweetness of pear, giving a bright fruity start. This quickly yields to a floral heart where iris, jasmine and orange blossom intertwine, the iris adding a powdery, slightly earthy texture while the jasmine and orange blossom provide a soft white floral sheen. The dry down settles on a warm, sweet base of praline, vanilla and tonka bean, anchored by patchouli which adds depth and a subtle woody edge. The overall character is sweet and powdery with a gentle warmth, making it suitable for cooler evenings in autumn or winter, particularly for daytime or early evening social occasions.
