Cartier released La Panthere in 2014, an EDP composed by Mathilde Laurent for women. The fragrance opens with a rich, sweet and tart accord of dried fruits, rhubarb, and big strawberry, given a subtle aromatic lift by anise and a fresh spark from bergamot. This fruity introduction soon gives way to a lush floral heart, where gardenia provides a creamy, almost indolic richness. Rose adds a classic floral depth, while ylang-ylang contributes a tropical, creamy sweetness, and orange blossom brightens the composition. A hint of pear lends a watery, fresh sweetness. The base grounds the scent with the earthy, green depth of oakmoss and patchouli, alongside a soft, animalic musk and a smooth leather accord, creating a modern chypre impression. This is a bold, fruity floral with a grounding, mossy and leathery drydown, suited for evening wear or cooler weather.
