Top note by essence, bergamot exudes intense freshness and the power of an amber trail, that of a great Guerlain perfume, in an ultimate concentration of 30%. Guerlain Perfumers overdose on bergamot and reinforce its green bitterness of petit grain, the very essence of the bergamot tree leaf. Prolonging this intensity, a signature Guerlain amber accord – Shalimar opopanine – reveals a trail as powerful as a base note, carried by the woody and smoky facets of Gaïac wood essence.
