How a discovery set is filled, and from where

Where can you get a perfume discovery set?

OurScent is a record of perfume before it is a shop, and these sets are filled from the same sealed bottle whose price we track at shops in Saudi Arabia and UAE. Three ways in: take a ready-made set somebody chose bottle by bottle, build your own from the 64,210 perfumes on record, or start with a First Discovery set — three perfumes and the travel case.

What makes a good discovery set?

Enough of each one to learn how it develops on your skin — the dry-down hours later, not the opening alone. Decants here come in 3, 5, 10 ml, and 10 ml is several full days of wear before you commit to a bottle. It also helps when a set has a thread running through it — a family, a season, one house — rather than being a grab-bag.

Can you build your own?

Yes. Pick three, five or ten from the whole record, choose the decant size, and the price is worked out in front of you from what each bottle costs. The three-decant set comes with the travel case — three vials loose in a drawer is a worse object than three in a case.

Discovery set questions

Do you ship discovery sets?

Yes, in Saudi Arabia and UAE. A set you build here, or any box on this page, goes into the cart and is paid for and shipped from checkout. We fill every vial ourselves from a bottle we hold, and you see the delivery time and cost for your city before you pay.

Are discovery sets a good gift?

They are among the safest fragrance gifts: instead of betting on one bottle, you give several scents that will actually be worn. A First Discovery set arrives with the travel case, so it is ready to give as it is — and whoever receives it can size up to the full bottle of the one they fall for.

Do you offer sets for men?

First Discovery: For Him, Modern Icons and the Woody Collection all lean masculine, and Daily Essentials is shared. If none of them fits, build your own — the builder filters the record by who a perfume was made for, the same way the rest of the site does.

How is a set priced?

From the cheapest live full-bottle offer at a shop we track in your market, divided by the bottle’s millilitres and multiplied by the decant size. No price on this page is typed by hand, which is why the same set costs differently in different markets — and why a set with one unsourced perfume in it shows no total at all. A total that skipped the bottle nobody can find would be wrong by exactly that bottle.
