In this modern take on Gilio, the rare nuance of Italian Orris wafts through soft wooden accents and a luminous floral bouquet. Its pearly, powdery essence meets the unexpected radiance of Angelica to reveal a crisp verdant breeze, while sweet Jasmine melts into creamy Sandalwood, earthy Vetiver and intense Patchouli. Profoundly connected to the House’s passion for exquisite craftsmanship, the fragrance is also enriched with natural raw materials that evolve with the passing of time just like the House’s aesthetic vision, giving the jus a changing appearance that makes it even more precious and alluring. The perfume’s packaging also takes its cue from the original Gilio fragrance. The flacon comes with a voluptuous glass shape, while the container has a warm, velvety texture recalling the feel of a precious fabric. Among the most beautiful historical palaces in the heart of the Tuscan capital, Palazzo Spini Feroni is where the first atelier of the Maison was established, and where the new Gilio perfume will now join the anthology of Ferragamo’s Creations spanning more than 90 years of the House’s excellence and refinement. The most notable creations include the revival of the futuristic Doresi shoe designed by Fiamma Ferragamo in 1968, a lily-nuanced sling-back enhanced with a sculptural heel that recalls the Gilio flacon. A silk twill scarf and a chiffon stole created by Fulvia Ferragamo and now reissued with a colorful Lilium motif.The iconic tophandle bag, again conceived by Fiamma Ferragamo, made of rare crocodile and sealed with the iconic Gancini as a trademark emblem of the House’s flawless style. The new Gilio perfume will be available through selected stores worldwide starting from October 2019. Gilio is available as a 50ml Eau de Parfum.
