Princesse Jeanne d'Albret was the mother of Henry of Navarre, King Henry IV of France. She was the inspiration for the name of the Paris perfume house of Jean d'Albret, founded by Comte Guillaume d'Ornano. In 1960, the romantic floral Princesse d'Albret perfume brought fame to the house with its unique wild strawberry top note. It is considered one of three of the greatest French perfumes. - Read more on the Jean Albret house.
