Bvlgari launched Jasmin Noir in 2008 as an EDP for women, composed by Carlos Benaïm and Sophie Labbé. The opening presents a green freshness alongside the creamy, slightly mushroomy scent of gardenia. This initial verdancy soon gives way to the heart, where jasmine sambac blooms with its characteristic indolic sweetness, softened and made richer by a nutty almond accord. As the fragrance settles, a complex base emerges, featuring the warm, vanilla-like sweetness of tonka bean and a distinct, dark sweetness from licorice. Precious woods provide a grounding structure, while musk and amber contribute warmth and depth. Patchouli adds a subtle earthy facet, preventing the sweetness from becoming cloying. The overall impression is a rich, dark floral with a gourmand edge, balancing white florals with nutty and woody undertones. It suits cooler evenings and formal settings, offering a presence that is both comforting and noticeable.
