Amouage introduced Guidance 46 in 2024 as an unisex extrait, composed by Quentin Bisch. The opening is complex, blending the sweet, watery scent of rose water with the fresh, juicy note of pear. Hazelnut and bitter almond add a creamy, nutty dimension, while frankincense and pink pepper provide a sharp, resinous spice. The heart develops into a rich floral mix of rose, osmanthus, saffron, and jasmine sambac, creating a warm, honeyed bouquet. The base is smooth and woody, with sandalwood and akigalawood offering a creamy, dry texture. Vanilla and ambrette add sweetness, while labdanum, ambergris, georgywood, and cypriol provide a deep, earthy, and slightly animalic foundation. The character is opulent and balanced, suitable for all seasons, particularly in evening settings or during cooler months when the warm, resinous notes can fully develop.
