Montale released Arabians Tonka in 2019 as a unisex fragrance. It opens with a warm and slightly metallic saffron note, brightened by a fleeting touch of bergamot. The heart quickly develops around a prominent oud, which is softened and made more approachable by the rich, jammy sweetness of Bulgarian rose, creating a balanced and opulent floral-woody core. The base provides a deep and enveloping sweetness, featuring the creamy, vanilla-like warmth of tonka bean alongside the sugary richness of sugar cane. Amber contributes a resinous depth, while white musk adds a clean, soft dimension, and a hint of oakmoss provides an earthy, slightly green underscore. This fragrance offers a bold, sweet, and resinous character with a noticeable oud presence, making it ideal for cooler weather, particularly autumn and winter evenings, when a strong, projecting scent is desired.
