Kamikura is launched in 2024 as a limited edition celebrating the 20th anniversary of Swedish brand GENTS, specializing in niche perfumes and barber products. Kamikura is a tribute to spiritual and physical purification, Nordic tradition, and masculine beauty rituals. In Japanese culture, "Kamikura" is a sacred place and a home for gods and spiritual beings. At these sacred sites, purification rituals are held, dances and songs are performed, and offerings are made to Kami, the human's higher state after death. The perfume was created with the intention of bringing hope of happiness, success, and peace, and by spraying the perfume, the place you find yourself in transforms into a sacred Kamikura. Therefore, it is a fragrance that is meditative, spiritual, and calming with a natural minimalism. Kamikura opens with fresh, crisp citrus notes and balsamic Ezo-pine and Todo-pine (Abies sachalinensis). The heart features hints of aromatic camphor and lavender, along with soapy oakmoss, while the base consists of woody, earthy accords. It is a scent that initially reveals the typical Japanese roots of Di Ser but then evolves into a classic woody perfume with a European touch, as a nod to Swedish nature and the culture of purity.
